A copy of Peter Paul Rubens’ PORTRAIT STUDY OF HIS SON NICOLAS, 1621.
My husband taught English literature at the Stony Brook School for 11 years and one of his favorite contemporary poets is Geoffrey Hill, who is now at Oxford, I believe. Jake asked me to do a couple portraits of poets he admired so this is one of them. It is made with graphite and ink. The font comes from the front cover of one of Hill’s books.
