A ruined stone tower of Urquhart on the shores of Loch Ness, in the Scottish Highlands. I went up there this past summer and still can’t get it out of my head. The desolate landscape seems to resound with the whisper of mysteries and events of long ago. It’s hard to describe the haunting beauty of the place. The pictures you find on the internet can’t capture the feeling you have when standing on a lonely hillside with the mist, sun and clouds dancing around in various succession and with the greenery exhaling an enchantment from all sides.
On the shores of the deep and dark Loch Ness one wonders, ‘Perhaps there is a Loch Ness monster? Anything seems possible.’
